Parade, music, dancing, fireworks and two very Macho Men

After another banner celebration, the Fourth of July reigns supreme and unchallenged as "Laura's Favorite Holiday" of all the holidays. No contest. Sam, Jack and I had a front row seat for Dublin's morning parade. After an afternoon nap (for all of us) we packed up and set off for Dublin Coffman High School. Entertainment included concerts by The Villiage People (the real ones) and KC and the Sunshine Band.

It was hilarious watching the boys dance to "Macho Man" - and doing the YMCA. Priceless, actually, in its hilarity and entertainment value.

In fact, we had such a good spot - and apparently made such a funny, fun spectacle, that three of the Village People (the cowboy, leather man and native American man) singled us out at the end of the last song - waving, giving us the thumbs up, etc. Topping it all off: a crew from Mills James was filming the whole thing. Somewhere, at some yet-to-be-determined place and time, I will see the boys and me dancing like idiots to "In the Navy."

It doesn't get much better than that. Oh - and the fireworks rocked, too.
All around, a great day!
